Our Wedding!!

Our wedding was so much fun! Robert and I both said that it was like going to a huge party with all of our nearest and dearest friends and family...and when we left we were married!
The day was lovely...Minnesota cold outside (though we braved the chilly weather for a few outdoor shots anyway!)...but wonderfully warm inside. The church was decorated beautifully with evergreen, holly berries and ribbons. Poinsettias decked out the front of the church in remembrance of our beloved grandparents that are no longer with us. Candles decked the top of each pew...making our evening wedding candelit. Our colors were red, green and white--with silver interspersed. Our flowers were red gerbera daisies and white roses, surrounded by evergreen and holly berries. Planning and having a Christmas wedding was so much fun!
Robert and I wrote our own vows...the morning of the ceremony actually! But they were heartfelt and I couldn't keep from getting teary eyed as I repeated my vows to him during the ceremony. The intensity of our love and devotion to each other overwhelmed me! God is good and provides in His timing!
The reception was rocking with the Jaztronauts keeping the tunes lively and fun (check them out at www.jaztronauts.com ). The food was yummy--classic holiday fare like turkey and mashed potatoes, salad and more--provided by Danny's Catering from Dobo's restaurant. That in itself was a blessing! We had planned on doing our own food--appetizer style. But as the date drew nearer, it became evident how much work that would take, and how it would take friends and family away from the wedding. Luckily Grandma Helen suggested Dobo's, which provided GREAT food at a GREAT price...at the last minute no less! No stress...YEAH!
Robert and I enjoyed having both of our families very involved in our wedding...it meant so much to us!
Our honeymoon took us to San Francisco/Sausalito, which was AWESOME! But I'll save that for another post...
I'm making it my New Year's Resolution to be more regular with my blog...and it's not even New Year's yet! So far so good on my resolutions! :o) If only I could be that could with the 'refraining from chocolate' resolution...I'll start tomorrow! (wink!)
Love y'all!!!
